Most everyone selling trains on e-bay sell them in AS IS condition with no promise they will run.  We have been servicing and reconditioning American Flyer S Gauge trains since 1990, and this is our 30th year in providing a quality train set to people that want a piece of nostalgia, to share with children or grandchildren.  All of our sets come with a full 1 year warranty, and have everything you need to set it up and start using right away.  All engines have been totally taken apart and serviced, all cars have been cleaned and repaired if needed.  All sets have been test run.  (See video below) We designed a repro set box very much like Gilbert used to use, engines come with corrugated wrappers like they did years ago, the cars come with repro boxes unless indicated as originals.  Every set has a repro instruction book to give you all the information you need to get up and running.  We include track that has been cleaned and tested, a power clip and a wire, and an appropriate transformer to power your train.  You could almost believe it is Christmas time in the 50's once again.  If you want to share a train with family, or want to replace one you had years ago and your parents gave it away, this is exactly what you are looking for.

I want to say a few things about the value added nature of our sets.  Yes, there is a lot of cheaper stuff out there that hasn't been touched in years, sold by people who know nothing about trains.  So you go the cheap route, and you get an engine that won't run properly, couplers that are often stuck(link coupler are notorious for being stuck with age)  These engines are 50 to 60 years old, often been neglected, and have things wrong with them.  So you buy from an unqualified source, and the wire harness is ripped, the front tender truck insulating bushing has deteriorated and the engine shorts, the fingers on the e-unit have arced and burnt through from years of never being cleaned.  The smoke unit may be fried, or completely hardened with old smoke fluid.  So now you have wasted your money, or need to buy the right parts, the proper tools, and develop the expertise needed to make it right.  B&B has done all that for you.  Once properly serviced, they should last for many years with a little maintenance here and there.  Another good example is the track we put in our sets.  Track is old like the trains, was subject to bad storage conditions, or abused by someone without knowledge yanking the track off a platform, and ruining it.  When the pins have corrosion, the current does not flow as well.  When we get a batch of track, probably 30 to 40 percent of it is bad, unusable.  Each piece is tested for straightness, then it goes through a 30 step cleaning process including brightening the pins for better conductivity, finishing off with a large wire wheel on the top rails.  For the amount of track in just one of our sets, it takes 60 to 75 minutes to clean, to have a clean power clip, and some wire to attach to transformer.  If we gave junk track, the train would not run right and our customers would get frustrated.  We provide original or repro boxes, service the transformer, invest in an instruction booklet, sometime repro or original, but a great source for people to read and get a better understanding of their set.  So I emphasize again, the value we offer with our sets is the care given each and every piece, the warranty we offer, because we believe in making it right, and the overall complete train set all ready to set up and enjoy.
This is one of those rare times we acquire a set that contains a number of original boxes and a set box, although the set box had someone cut off the top flaps for some reason years ago. This is a pretty hard set to find, set 5625T from 1956.  This set contains an absolutely gorgeous 372 diesel locomotive with Union Pacific colors.  Diesel has pullmore tires, was completely taken apart and serviced, and runs fantastic.  It really flies.  The set also contain a unique collection of 5 cars, one more then a similar set made in 1955.  In this transition set, some of the cars had the old yellow and blue boxes, while others had the new red and black boxes.  The most unique car is a 970 Walking brakeman car, where "Smitty" walks back and forth across the top of the boxcar, which has it's original marked box and rare insert.  This box is in excellent shape, the others have some masking tape internal repairs.  Also included in the set is a 911 C&O pipe carrying car, a 924 Jersey Central covered cement hopper, a 941 Frisco gondola, and a 904 caboose.  As mentioned, those cars have boxes with repairs.  Also included in the are 12 curve in the original box and 4 straight tracks, power clip, and wire in the original package.  Set also includes an the original instruction book, special diesel worm drive paper, list of authorized repair stations from 1956, a 1 1/2 B transformer with original sleeves, box and instructions.  Everything is fully cleaned and serviced, and comes with our FULL WARRANTY as always. All sets shipped by Fed Ex Home delivery with insurance. To save customer's money we now use E-bay calculated Fed Ex Ground.    Fed Ex has had a stellar reputation with us for getting our products there in a timely and safe manner.
