An incredible antique ring featuring a 1.57 carat older cushion cut natural unheated yellow sapphire in the center surrounded with a halo of old european cut diamonds set halo style in platinum.  The yellow sapphire is accompanied with a GIA sapphire report.  This stunning ring can be worn as a fabulous fashion piece or as an incredible gemstone engagement ring.  Estimated first quarter of the 20th century

Gemstones: Sapphire - weight 1.57 carats, measurements 7.62x5.81x3.22mm, shape cushion, cutting style modified step cut, transparency transparent, color yellow, variety natural sapphire, treatments - no indications of heating; Diamonds - nine old european cuts plus one round brilliant cut ( a later replacement) with total diamond weight 1.00 carat by formula, stones are approximately 3mm each estimated color I-J/clarity I, two stones have chips only visible with magnification. Diamonds measured and graded while set subject to mounting limitations
