    Description

This is an exceptionally rare kit from the late 70’s. This is the same kit that John Bonham played. I believe John’s final stage kit was a Ludwig SS kit he played from 1977-1980. These drums are super loud. All three Tom’s have their internal mufflers and all four drums have very close serial numbers on the pointed blue olive badges. That dates them from 1977-1979. These drums are really an investment since they are only going up in value every year.
By the way this is not a reissue kit. It is the real deal! The bass drum is 14”x24”. The floor tom is 16”x16”. The rack toms are 9”x13” and 10”x14”.
These drums have scuffs and scratches, dings, pitting and some surface rust on the rings.(see photos). The kick drum shows the most wear on the wooden tensioner ring. The kick is also missing a bolt on one of the lugs. It has been broken off on the inside(see photo). I cleaned these drums up a bit for the photos but they could really use good polishing. The heads are old and pretty worn out but I figured you will probably want to put on your favorite skins and customize it the way you want. This really is a players kit. It has quite a lot of beauty marks and a great patina.
    Here are the serial numbers.
    Kick serial # 1701343
    Tom serial # 1701335
    Tom serial # 1701325
    Tom serial # 1701398
These drums will be shipped in separate boxes via USPS Priority Mail.

THREE OF THE TWELVE PHOTOS HERE ARE OF THE MOST WORN PARTS OF THE KIT. PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. THIS IS PROBABLY NOT A COLLECTORS KIT. ITS MORE OF A PLAYERS KIT IN MY OPINION. ALTHOUGH, THE DRUMS ARE IN GOOD STRUCTURAL CONDITION THEY DO SHOW QUITE A LOT OF WEAR.
